There has been many air quality tradegies through the years that had many deaths and affected a lot of people. There was one in Meuse Valley, Belgium 1930. Coke ovens, steel mills, blast furnaces, zinc smelters, glass factories and sulfuric acid plants produced an estimated SO2 concentration of 8 ppm. It was estimated that the SO2 concentration was reached to 22,600 ug/m3. With in a few days, 600 people feell ill and 63 people died from it. In Donora, PA 1948 Effluents from a number of industries such as a sulfuric acid plant, a steel mill, and a zinc production plant became trapped in a shallow valley inversion to produce an unbreathable mixture of fog and pollution.6,000 became ill and there were 20 deaths. In London, England

Air pollution comes from many different sources. Natural processes that affect air quality include volcanoes, which include sulfur, chlorine, and ash. Many forms of pollution are human-made. Industrial plants, power plants and vehicles with internal combustion engines produce nitrogen oxides, VOCs, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and particulates. In cities, cars are the main source pollutant. Other human-made sources include aerosol sprays and leaky refrigerators, as well as fumes from paint, varnish, and other solvents. One thing about air pollution is that it doesnt stay in one place.Winds and weather flow the pollution around locally.

There are different types of fuel sources. There are nonrenewable fuels which are oil, natural gas, and uranuim. The second fuel source is renewable. renewable energy is abundant and constantly replenished. Another form of renewable fuel sourse is hydropower and its widely used.Hydrogen is another source of alternative fuel. Hydrogen produces no pollution and vehicles run by hydrogen fuel cells are two to three times more efficient than gasoline powered vehicles.

As everyone knows that the candidates for the 2012 election are Newt Gingrich, Barack Obama, and Rick Santorum. There is a big arguement about the gas prices. Gingrich says that if he gets elected he is going to make gas prices 2 dollars a gallon. Santorum blames Obama for decreasing gas prices beacuse he is afraid of global warming. Obama approoves of the gas prices because there is nothing he can do about it.

I have heard of bioluminescence. I'm not really sure what it means. My guess would be to light up in the dark fluorescence light. The organisms I believe that have this property is sea animals that live in the deepest part of the ocean. I think that they use that light to mate, to see, or attract food. What I want to know is why they have these lights and how were they discovered. Also, what else they use their lights for.
